Q1) Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Chelsey Peat. I’m a 35 year old Mother of two from Canada. I was born with a rare neurological condition called Sturge Weber Syndrome. I also have glaucoma in my left eye. I’ve had multiple surgeries including major brain surgery as a baby.
Q2) Tell us about what you do, and why you do it
Well besides being a Mom to two amazing daughters I work part time as a Unit Clerk in our local ER. Very busy and hectic sometimes but I live the interaction with patients, physicians and nursing staff.
Q3) What makes you feel courageous?
Stepping out my door and dealing with the world as someone with a facial difference. Doing my Ambassador work for the Vascular Birthmark Foundation as a Global Ambassador Bringing awareness and working towards acceptance for individuals with facial differences.
Q4) What is one thing you wish you could tell your 16-year-old self?
Be strong, keep smiling! The best is yet to come! ❤️
Q5) What is one piece of advice you can give a fellow lady who might be lacking courage?
Stay strong! Your biggest critic will always be you! Don’t let yourself get discouraged and remember to rock it! Once you are confident with yourself as a whole the world will look at you with amazement wonder and strength!
