Q1) Tell us a little about yourself!
Hi! My name is Erin, I am a photographer and visual content creator from Ontario, Canada. I live with my husband Nelson and our two rescue dogs in our new (150 year old) house just outside of Toronto in a beautiful rural setting between the ski hills and the beach. (I’ve got the best of both worlds!)
Q2) Tell us about what you do, and why you do it:
I got into photography and graphic design as a creative outlet after my last business failed, and It was such a blessing in disguise because I realized that this was my true calling all along.
Now, my passion is creating colourful and whimsical creative content for brands who want to communicate visual optimism, regardless of language. I love to combine Photography, art, graphic design, and a touch of humour.
Q3) What makes you feel courageous?
Stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying new things! Whether it be learning new skills or putting myself in new social situations-I find that the things that intimidate me a little bit are the things that make me feel most courageous when I achieve them.
Q4) What is one thing you wish you could tell your 16-year-old self?
There is no time limit on finding your passion/career/calling. It’s never to late to learn a new skill or discover the thing that you are good at. In fact, there may be many. You can try it all if you want to, life is what you make it.
Q5) What is one piece of advice you can give a fellow lady who might be lacking courage?
Don’t be afraid to just go for it! If you want to pursue a passion, don’t put it off. Start today! Reach out to your community for support. Is there someone you admire who is doing what you want to do? Send them an email, get their advice. You have so much power and potential with in you. Feel it, own it- be it!
