Q1) Tell us a little about yourself!
I'm a sex-positive journalist with a passion for empowering women in their sexuality and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health. I have absolutely no concept of TMI, so you can find my entire life story on the internet!
Q2) Tell us about what you do, and why you do it!
I write and speak about female sexuality, with a goal to destroy the shame and stigma surrounding it, and help women claim their sexual power. After my marriage broke down, I learned to reconnect with my sexuality through casual sex, and discovered my authentic sexual self through the process. Speaking up for myself in the bedroom ultimately became a catalyst for being able to speak up for myself in every other area of my life, and now it's my mission to help other women do the same.
Q3) What makes you feel courageous?
Realising that people aren't paying nearly as much attention to how you look than you think they are.
Q4) What is one thing you wish you could tell your 16-year-old self?
Your comfort and pleasure matter. It's okay to say no. It's okay to ask for what you want.
Q5) What is one piece of advice you can give a fellow lady who might be lacking courage?
You've already done the most nerve-wracking and confronting thing a person can do by getting naked in front of your partner and engaging in sex with them. Speaking up for yourself and asking for what you want is really the easy part!
