Sophie from Got You Girl
Q1) Tell us a little about yourself!
My Name is Sophie Stewart I’m a 27 yr old from Sydney. By trade I’m a retail store manager however I have two businesses outside of that which I absolutely love running. In my ‘ME time’ you will find me going for a walk, going to Pilates, catching up with friends , reading an inspiring book, watching a doco or romcom on Netflix and wearing a hydrating face mask.
Q2) Tell us about what you do, and why you do it!
I work Full time as a retail store manager. But my passion is within the businesses I have founded especially Got You Girl. What I love most about Got You Girl is how we are able to empower, educate , inspire and support all girls to live a life in the know to help them live their best lives. I love connecting with all different women to bring the best information to the one platform for all girls. At Got You Girl we want to help start conversations to help break stigmas and taboos on topics we don’t like to talk about. Nothing is off limits. However we always ensure we partner with the right businesses to give our girls the correct info and to help provide a platform where girls can come and share their own personal stories and journeys.
Q3) What makes you feel courageous?
Taking risks, not knowing what the outcome will be. As a business owner you are daily faced with having to take risks and the adrenaline it gives me daily is crazy but I just love what I do knowing I’m helping make an impact in peoples lives.
Q4) What is one thing you wish you could tell your 16-year-old self?
Believe in yourself. You are an amazing girl with a big heart who can achieve anything she puts her mind to. Focus on what matters most and the rest will fall into place from how you commit yourself fully to everything you do.
Q5) What is one piece of advice you can give a fellow lady who might be lacking courage?
Your vibe attracts your tribe. Surround yourself with the right people who will support you and all of your crazy ideas. Secondly trust your gut and go for it, what’s stopping you. If you write down the pros and cons and you still think you should do it. JUST DO IT. You will never know till you give it a go and every risk comes with a learning whether it’s positive or an opportunity for next time.
